Church Life @ BACC

Children

Our church caters for children each week by providing Sabbath school classes for several age groups:

  • Teens (ages 13-15)
  • Juniors (ages 10 - 12)
  • Primary (ages 6-9)
  • Kindergarten (ages 3-5)
  • Beginners (for parents with infants 0-2 yrs)

The weekly children Sabbath school (Bible study) classes each week contain songs, crafts, quizzes, games and Bible stories.
Children are invited to join their parents during the church service where there will be a children's story for them.

Kids Club

Kids Club operates as a ministry to the children of Burwood Adventist Community Church and as an outreach to the community. We provide a programme that appeals to the greater community while instilling Christian values in the children. We cater for kids between the ages of 4 and 9 years.

Kids Club Philosophy

In accordance with Deut. 6:7-9, we will impress upon the children God's plan in everything they do. We specifically wish to show the children how to incorporate God's plan for their lives in their every day activities.

Kids Club runs from 4pm - 6pm once a month and a typical program looks something like this:

  • Games - 45 minutes
  • Snack and Drinks - 15 Minutes
  • Activities/Honours - 45 minutes
  • Songs and Prayer - 15 minutes

Our next Kids Club event will be held on 18 August 2007, we look forward to seeing you there.

Pathfinders

Pathfinders, a programs similar to Scouts, are designed for for 10-16-year-olds  to socialise with each other as well as learn and develop life skills. Run by qualified and committed leaders of the church, Pathfinders participate in a range of activities, including -

  • abseiling
  • canoeing
  • camping and hiking
  • crafts

They also learn to develop important life values such as teamwork, commitment and self-respect.
Honour badges can be earned for completing requirements on specific topics in the areas or nature, craft and recreation, and at the end of each year Pathfinder clubs present awards to Pathfinders on achievement of various skills.
